My daughter’s PI has left us strapped financially, but I would love to do something really special for her.  I’ve heard a lot about the Make-a-Wish Foundation, but I think they only fulfill ‘wishes’ for kids whose illnesses have been determined terminal.  Does anyone know if they offer programs for kids who are chronically ill, but not terminal?

The Immune Deficiency Foundation offers peer support groups in 22 states.  You can call them at 1-800-296-4433 or go to there website:  www.primaryimmune.org.  Their Director of Patient Services is Jennifer Bass and she should lead you to the closest support group or help you find the tools you need to start a new one.  Good luck!
