My son is 30 months old, when he was only 9 months old he was diagnosed with strep throat and an ear infection for the first time.  After that, he was diagnosed with strep throat every month for over a year until I finally threw a fit to have tubes placed in his ears and have his tonsils and adenoids removed in November 2007.  Since having his tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes placed in his ears, he has continued to be sick.  He has continued to have strep throat and ear infections.  He has also begun having numerous sinus infections. He has remained on antibiotics for nearly 18 months.  No matter what we do, we can not keep him healthy.  He weighs normal and he is right on track as far as height.  He just stays sick.  He was diagnosed with asthma two weeks ago and placed on an albuterol  nebulizer.  I don't know if I should be considering this disorder for my son and be fighting to have our PCP test him or not.
Can anyone tell me if their child has had the same kind of illnesses as my child and been diagnosed with PI?
Any information would be great!!!
