Hi.  My 15year old daughter dx'd at age 2 with Hypogammaglobulemia.  No antibodies to pneumocauccus (sp).  IVIG intermittenly... local doc was iffy about it and I thought she benefited alot.  Needless to say she is now having tyroid issues.  I am waiting the bloodwork but the first TSH is .106 with norms .35 to 5.5.   I am completely autoimmune (UGH) and I have read that it is very possible that those with PID can result in having autoimmune problems.

She practically lived in the hospital from age 2 to 7. We did home IV therapy to keep her out of the hospital with Childrens home care.  Tons of IV Ceftriaxone.. through tons of infections...tons.  Seems like it was this long scary dream as she did get somewhat better.

She has been so happy that her health has improved.  The infections are still present but less in frequency.  After all of the years of pain she has been through I feel so bad for her.  She is in pointe ballet and she can hardly dance due to fatigue.  If this is a simple synthroid fix I will be happy.

Does anyone have any insight on the connection with PID/Hypogammaglobulinemia and thyroid issues.  Any thoughts or experiences would be really appreciated.

Thanks so much...
