G.E.N.I.E. Physician Education Grant
The Global Education and Information Exchange (G.E.N.I.E.) funds programs with a focus on ongoing physician education about Primary Immunodeficiency. By funding innovative educational programs and initiatives, the G.E.N.I.E. program aims to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes for patients around the world through global collaboration and meaningful dialogue.
G.E.N.I.E. was established in support of our mission to promote PI awareness in healthcare systems with limited resources, encouraging proper access to treatment and care, and advancing PI education worldwide.
Awards will be granted on a rolling basis throughout the year, amounting up to $10,000 for one year, following review and approval by the advisory board.
Grant Objectives and Guidelines
Physician education is an essential part of our work at the Jeffrey Modell Foundation. G.E.N.I.E. funds may be used to support areas with limited resources with continuing physician education programs, grand rounds, scientific publishing, the creation of local meetings and seminars, and other physician education events. Applicants must be enrolled in a fellowship or above to be considered.
Following the grant period, awardees must submit a report of their research findings, meeting outcomes, patient success stories, treatment methodologies, and other relevant developments from the grant period that will be shared with JMF and distributed to members of the Jeffrey Modell Centers Network (JMCN) around the world. These reports will help to forward progress in the field, educate their peers, and encourage the ongoing exchange of ideas.
