In honor of Rare Disease Week this month, our next edition of JMF Defined explains what a RARE DISEASE is.

A RARE DISEASE is a disease that affects a small percentage of the population. For example, fewer than 200,000 people in the United States have a rare disease. There are 7,000 identified rare diseases worldwide!

Be sure to follow us on social media @info4pi to learn more rare disease facts, hear patient stories, and learn how you can join our awareness efforts.
