January is National Blood Donation month! Do you know the difference between blood and plasma donation Together, JMF and the Immune Deficiency Foundation created a guide to help you understand blood vs. plasma donations as part of our #WeArePI collaboration.

Whole blood includes all four components of our blood (red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma) and is used to help patients undergoing surgery, fighting cancer, blood disorders, and more. Plasma makes up 55% of our blood is used to create lifesaving therapies for people living with rare diseases, such as Primary Immunodeficiency.
