Each year, as we come together for  World PI Week (WPIW), we are filled with a sense of gratitude, reflection, and renewed determination. This global awareness week serves as a powerful reminder of where we started, how far we’ve come, and the inspiring founder behind it all: Jeffrey Modell.

Though he never had the chance to meet the thousands of children and families his legacy would go on to impact, his spirit continues to guide each stage of progress. In 1987, Vicki and Fred created the Foundation with one clear goal: to transform his optimism into action, and we've been doing just that ever since.

We knew then what we know now:  no family should have to face this journey alone. That's why one of our first and lasting missions was to build a  support network—a true community for patients, families, and physicians alike.

Today, we celebrate increased diagnoses, new treatments, improved outcomes, and a growing global community united by the same mission: to bring hope, courage, and support to those living with Primary Immunodeficiency (PI). Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, physician, friend, or advocate, you are part of our story. And together, we can make the future brighter for every person impacted by PI!

Below, you’ll find some of our most requested tools and resources created to educate, empower, and encourage early diagnosis and expert care:

  • Find an immunologist near you  using our interactive world map.
  • Become a plasma donor—plasma saves lives, and you can gift the gift of life.
  • Share the 10 Warning Signs  of PI to  educate  your own network.
  • Use your voice! Advocate for newborn screening in your country if it's not yet available.
  • Looking for support? Connect with regional patient  organizations.
  • Watch our inspiring documentary,  Do Something: The Jeffrey Modell Story,  now on YouTube.
  • Want to help fund  research and innovation? Donate  here  and support life-changing discoveries.

Be sure to share these resources with your friends, family, and community, and help us spread awareness far and wide. Throughout WPIW, we’ll be sharing  educational content, spotlight interviews, and inspiring stories from around the globe.

Together, let’s celebrate the  physicians, nurses, researchers, patient groups, families, and  warriors  living with PI who remind us every day why we are motivated to Do Something more.

With love, hope, and heartfelt gratitude—thank you for being part of our global PI village.

Love,
Jeffrey Modell Foundation
